Do I want it? Well, right now a weekend in Copenhagen has been just an event in my life, nothing of a long-term commitment. So my personal motivation would be a bit too low to begin a language course or find a tutor.
And here we are: MOTIVATION is the key to start with.
Before travelling to a foreign country, or engaging in deep (and somewhat counterproductive) thoughts on whether you should learn a language or just leave it, it's quite worth it sitting down and thinking through your next couple of months and years.
How much time are you going to need the language, proportionally, to your overall communication patterns?
How much more social interaction are you going to get when communicating in THEIR language and not yours?
What are your limitations, as shown via past experiences? Is the belief sounding like "I am not a language person" sitting too deep inside you? Would you be prepared to commit and learn from failure?
What exactly do you need your language for?
And how would your future self, being able to speak it, look like?
Are you ready for more and deeper social connections, social impact, more income and better track record of successful business negotiations?
